Hike to Masten Dam

Join Trip Leader Jim Augustine for a Friday February 23 2024 morning hike to Masten Dam . This is pretty hike to Wild and Scenic Loxahatchee River's Masten Dam.

Meet in breezeway of the office and restrooms in the first parking lot of Riverbend Park, 9060 Indiantown Road, Jupiter, at 10 AM. Jim will lead us on a combined Pack & Paddle Club/RFAR excursion of 5 to 6 miles round-trip on a grass and sand path.
Bring water, hat, sunscreen ,walking sticks, and binoculars and wear comfortable shoes. If there are recent rains there can be some short sections that can be muddy. Pack & Paddle and RFAR (Recess For Active Retirees) embrace the philosophy of leaving a venue in as good of condition if not better than before your visit..... so we encourage participants to bring a bag and pick up any trash they may encounter along the path.
