I am leading a camping, kayaking, and tube-floating trip at Ginnie Springs near High Springs, FL, this September 15-21.
This is a Spring Hopper Trip and we will explore the variety of numerous springs within the park.
At this time, if you don't need water or electricity, reservations are not necessary. However they are needed otherwise and all campers are asked to download and fill in a liability waiver prior to check-in in order to save time. Camping reservations, general information and the waiver can be found at the link above. You may reach them by phone at (386) 454-7188.
My plan is to enjoy the campground on the first day. We are also able to tube float from one end of the campground to the other. Either rent a tube or bring your own. It is a large campground. Then, on another day, kayak the Santa Fe River past the park. There are numerous springs along the river. We will explore every spring that we find. I have done this before. It was a lot of fun. There are rental kayaks available in town. We plan to tube float the Ichetucknee River on another day.
