Blowing Rocks Preserve Walk /saunter
Details
Joint activity with RFAR (Recess For Active Retirees) and Palm Beach Pack and Paddle. Meet 10 AM at the information booth and tide clock .Bring some cash$$ as donations requested. (This is managed by the Nature Conservancy who buy areas and preserve them for future generations to enjoy) We can walk/saunter the beach and if conditions are right with the high tide being around 12:09 PM if east winds are blowing then we should see 'blowing rocks' .( see photos below). The preserve was named for its rocky Anastasia limestone shoreline—the largest on the Atlantic coast. Wear comfortable appropriate beach shoes, bring sunscreen and water. Can walk the beach and some short nature trails. Visitor center and boardwalk on the west side of the road. Bring picnic lunch and chairs if you want( leave in your car). Bring your good humor too . Bathrooms in the visitor center. We can walk the boardwalk and a trail by the intrecoastal. See link for more photos and details as I can't type in all the relevant details. Hope you can make it.
