Chill-Out, Get-Wet Beach Party & Pot-Luck Picnic
Details
You'll have a good time at our Chill-Out, Get-Wet, Beach Party and Picnic at Gulfstream Park, one of Palm Beach County's best hidden beach gems. This lovely park features a tree-covered picnic area, outdoor showers, restrooms, lifeguards, and a beautiful beach. Add to that FREE parking! Be sure to see the photos below.
Which part is best? Hard to say, but the shaded picnic area with dappled light is absolutely enchanting. And who wouldn't want to cool off in the ocean below?
How will we chill out, besides in the usual way? This POT-LUCK picnic will feature our best COLD FOODS. Here are some suggestions for what to bring...salads of all types (chicken, Waldorf, carrot, bean, tossed, exotic, etc.), mini-sandwiches, breads, deserts, fruit...get creative. Bring cold food for 6 to 8 people. You may want to bring a bowl of ice to put under your creation.) NO COOKING ON SITE, no added heat!
We'll further chill-out in the azure water at the beach below.
What a great way to beat the heat!
We'll have a Pack & Paddle sign or two up in the picnic area, but this is a compact area...easy to locate and easy to move about to whatever beach thing your heart desires.
There is no charge for this event, just bring some cold food to share and wear your swim suit.
Gulfstream Park is in far north Delray Beach. The fastest way to get there is to go east on Woolbright Road in Boynton Beach, turn right onto A-1-A, pass the Nomad Surf Shop, and turn left at the second tree overhang.
From the Delray Beach and the south, look for St. Andrews Club, just past it turn right at the tree overhanging the road. If you see the Nomad Surf Shop, you have gone to far, turn around and turn left at the second tree overhang.
Can't wait to see you all again! And if you're new to our group or visiting for the first time, can't wait to meet you! See you there. Gerry
