Blowing Rocks Preserve Walk /saunter
Details
Meet at 10 AM at the information booth and tide clock. We can walk the beach and, if conditions are right, we should see 'blowing rocks'.
The preserve was named for its rocky Anastasia limestone shoreline—the largest on the Atlantic coast. We can then walk the nature trails and the boardwalk, and see the visitor center on the west side of the road.
Wear comfortable appropriate beach shoes, bring sunscreen and water. Bathrooms in the visitor center.
This site is managed by the Nature Conservancy, an organization that locates and purchases endangered beautiful places and wild landscapes across the U.S. and around the world, preserving them for future generations to enjoy. Bring some cash as donations are requested.
