Kayak Lake Tarpon Trail

There’s a picturesque little trail we’ll take that follows along the side of Peggy Park Loop in John Chestnut Park. I usually see turtles basking on logs, pelicans, egrets or roseate spoonbills. You will need to put your feet in the water to launch at the dock so it’s good to have some waterproof sandals.
The option to rent kayaks there is with Joytiderentals.com. The rentals are onsite and the website says first hour is free and $20 per hour after that .

Parking by the dock is $5.00 but what I do is unload my kayak by the ramp and then drive around the corner to park.
This is a beautiful little kayak trail during the fall and winter months.
