What we’re about
Doing aerial arts (silks, Lyra, trapeze, cord lisse etc.) requires upper body and core strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance) and it is immensely fun and rewarding. I do a conditioning workout every morning at 6am that includes aerobics, calisthenics, yoga, weights and aerial gymnastics practice and learning.
I started when I was 70, I'm 73 now and in my best shape ever! Come check it out - way more fun (and better results) than just lifting weights. In Palm Springs at Mesquite and Belardo.
The usual flow will be: jump rope, toe raises on yoga blocks while stretching with bands, heavy ball roll ups to standing, heavy band on feet for leg raises, big ball stretch and balance, floor stretches and yoga poses, hanging shoulder shrugs, climbing, inversions, core work, aerial apparatus approach. You will sweat.
