What we’re about
In collaboration with Calendario Musica Mallorca
**www.calendariomusicamallorca.es**
Palma Classical Music MeetUp Group started in 2017 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. We celebrated our 5th Birthday on 11th September 2022. Help us celebrate and join us for an event!
Principally, we follow and support four orchestras in Palma and elsewhere on the island:
> Orquestra Simfònica Illes Balears (currently in the Auditorium & Trui Theatre)
>
> Acadèmia 1830 (various music venues around the city);
>
> SimfoVents Palma (usually at the Conservatorio and La Misericordia).
> Ensemble Tramuntana (usually in Esg. San Felip Neri & Basilica San Francesc)
>
> We also support two prestigious choral groups, Capella Mallorquina and Art Vocal. They perform in different venues in Palma and in interesting and spectacular locations throughout the island.
>
> Additionally, there are additional concerts in venues such as the Palau de Congressos, Castell Bellver and Can Balaguer, other locations around the city, and elsewhere on Mallorca.
>
> Each concert is published individually, with programme and venue details, throughout the year. Each member obtains their own ticket (or season ticket) as they wish.
>
> Those attending meet before the concert, gather for a chat during the interval, and sometimes go for a drink nearby after the concert. It is all very relaxed and we can enjoy the company of fellow music lovers, share the experience, and enjoy some wonderful music as well!
It is easy to become a member, and it is free to join the Group.
Saludos,
Mike (Organiser)
