Two players, two devices, two completely separate gaming environments... all running at the same time on one physical GPU. Come see my attempt to make that work cleanly on Linux using Docker containers!
I’m gearing up to release a completely overhauled new version of my Steam Headless project, rebuilt from scratch using years of community feedback. I’ll demo two independent games being streamed simultaneously from the same machine, then pull back the curtain on how it works, why Linux makes this surprisingly difficult, and how new Linux GPU memory controls could make sharing a GPU between isolated gaming environments even more interesting in the near future.
Thanks to Objective for hosting and sponsoring pizza. Please RSVP so we know how much pizza to buy. We usually walk to Aquaba or Brew Union around 6:30-7pm for the social half of the meeting.
