Welcome all!

Los Angeles is big! This makes making and maintaining friendships very hard! It can take so long and be so stressful to go see a friend, that half the time you probably decide it's not worth the trouble. And if it's after work? Forget it!

The idea for the club came from my own and other's experiences with this seemingly universal VERY LA problem of making and maintaining friendships in Los Angeles.

The solution? Try and create a venue for making friends and community close by, so even the laziest among us can shlep ourselves to hang out.

I live in Palms so I created this Neighborhood Social Club to be Palms-based. I hope this can inspire other Neighborhood Social Clubs in other areas of the city.

Who should join?
Folks who live in Palms or spend a lot of their time around Palms and want to create new social connections that have a better chance of lasting longer than their friendships in East LA. I wouldn't join if you live far away! The whole point is that you're close by so it's easier for us to maintain connections.

What will events be?
Events will generally be hang outs at restaurants, bars, parks, etc. The goal is to create a carefree environment to socialize. I expect these to evolve over time!
