There are many kinds of disasters that have recurred throughout history, such as hurricanes and landslides. The people impacted often need help. Is there a moral obligation to help those in need after a disaster, and if so, then whom is obligated and to do what? And why? What is the appropriate response to a disaster? Can a theory of appropriate disaster relief scale down to the case of a single affected individual? What are the key factors that matter?

Feel free to share any thoughts in the comments, or ask me any questions.

The duration will be 1.5 - 2 hours.
