Open Discussion Meetup - Loneliness & Connection in Modern Life
Details
Topic: Loneliness & Connection in Modern Life
1. Do you think loneliness is worse now than it used to be? If so, what changed?
2. Do you feel more lonely online or offline — and why?
3. What makes it harder to make or maintain friendships as an adult?
4. Do you prefer more time alone or more time around people these days? How has that changed over the years?
5. What kind of conversations do you wish you had more often?
6. What do you do to reduce loneliness? What’s worked — and what hasn’t?
🏛️ What is Pandemonium Salon?
Pandemonium Salon is a gathering where strangers sit down to explore a meaningful topic together — without algorithms, matching, or curated groups.
Just a random mix of people, open minds, and real conversation.
We believe chance encounters with people outside your bubble are one of the fastest ways to expand your perspective and reconnect with humanity.
Every meetup we choose a topic that’s down-to-earth and relevant. The goal isn’t to debate or lecture — it’s to listen, think, share, and explore different viewpoints and experiences.
📓 How it Works
- We start with quick introductions
- The host explains the topic and light guidelines
- We use a few “jump-off questions” to get started
- Conversation flows naturally from there — tangents welcome
A typical evening looks like this:
7:00–7:15 – Arrive, settle in, casual chatting
7:15–7:25 – Welcome, introductions, overview of topic
7:25–8:45 – Whole-table conversation
8:45–9:00 – Closing reflections + group photo (faces anonymized if needed)
After 9:00 – Optional hangout time

🎯 What This IS
A simple human thing:
people talking honestly about the stuff they normally keep in their heads.
