From Idea to Acquisition - A Startup’s Technical Journey to Success

Details
Bridgecrew revolutionized the cloud security industry by shifting it left, securitying cloud during the development process by reviewing its Infrastructure as Code, basing the solution on an internally developed open source project called “Checkov”.
Two years after it was founded, Bridgecrew was acquired by Palo Alto Networks, and joined its cloud security platform, Prisma.
The transition from a small startup to an enterprise grade product, in such a short time, had many challenges, among them scaling in order to meet the large and complex customer base.
In the first session, Journey to Scale Using Serverless. Niv will describe the technical journey we had in our Serverless based backend, presenting our stack, its pros and cons, and ultimately answering “does it scale well”?
On the frontend side, we will talk about how to Build UI to Scale. Milkana and Mor will share their experience creating an infrastructure that enables anyone in the department to easily create a new component or a whole screen, without cluttering the codebase with hundreds of duplicate components.
They will present how this proved critical when we had to integrated our UI into Prisma’s one, following the acquisition, and to adjust it to their design language.
Whether you are willing to start a new product or just understand how things work in successful modern architecture, this meetup will answer all the essential questions.
