PA Permaculture Meetup Rejuvenation Gathering

Who are the people in the Pennsylvania Permaculture world? We'd like to invite you to an in-person gathering at Stonehedge Gardens in Tamaqua, PA on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 12-4pm to get to know one another and discuss what you all would like to get out of this meetup group.

A rough outline of the day would look something like this:

• 12 noon - Gather for potluck lunch (bring something to share!)
• 1pm - Opening circle
• Introduction of facilitators, Tom Moroz & Robyn Mello
• History of this meetup group and the Stonehedge property
• Ice breaker and introductions of all others present
• 2pm - Tour of Stonehedge and sharing of vision to develop it as a permaculture education center
• 3pm - Feedback & discussion of what topics people are interested in for upcoming seasons
• 4pm - Closing circle

For those that would like to stay later, we welcome you to stay for a potluck dinner (we will be firing up our cob pizza oven for the evening as well), and we will be hosting an open mic program and a STUFF SWAP. Please bring food to share, gently used items that you'd like to send off to a new home, and a blanket or tarp to lay yourself and your stuff out on (all stuff not swapped must be taken home with you when you leave). You are welcome to camp and stay over on the grounds as well.

Participation in this afternoon is a wonderful way to usher in a new season, reduce waste, build community, and participate in alternative economics--all high up on the permaculture ethics and principles lists!

This is a rain-or-shine event. Stonehedge has indoor and outdoor facilities for comfort, but please come prepared with appropriate clothing.

Stonehedge is planning to host a 72-hour Permaculture Design Certification Course in May/June of 2024, and we would also like to organize other programming aligned with the interests of this group. We look forward to seeing you there!
