MapReduce: Simplified Data Processing on Large Clusters

Welcome back to the first Papers We Love after quite a long break.

To start us back off, Knut will present MapReduce: Simplified Data Processing on Large Clusters. It's a rather short and at this point almost 20 years old paper in which two Google engineers first publish their map-reduce technique which became quite instrumental for the whole industry. Feel encouraged to read through the paper in advance so that we can discuss it together. If you don't have time, there will also be a summary provided.
