[Talk] Felienne Hermans: Feminism in Programming Language Design

After a long hiatus, we will be back with a very special edition. For the first time, we will have the author of a paper present their findings themselves.

Our guest will be Felienne Hermans with her paper called A Case for Feminism in Programming Language Design which takes a look at Programming Language research from a feminist lens. It explains why it can be helpful to do so and applies an existing lens coming from the glaciology community. Finally, it opens up to show what different new aspects of programming languages could be popularized, should the community open up to more diverse look at the craft.

After the presentation of the paper there will be time for Q&A and some more time to socialize and to get to know one another.
