Pablo Maldonado: Non-cooperative games by John Nash

Details
Despite long years of struggling with paranoid schizophrenia, John Nash made important contributions to both mathematics and economics, which made him both an Abel Prize laureate and Nobel Prize in Economics.
The notion of Nash equilibrium, introduced in this paper, has been compared by Nobel laureate Roger Myerson as crucial to modern economics and social sciences as the DNA double helix is to biology. In this talk we will introduce the concept of Nash equilibrium and provide several examples. If time permits, we will say a word or two about his other contributions to game theory and geometry.
Bio: Pablo is a life hacker, data scientist and mathematician, who loves elegant, simple ideas.
