What we're about

Paperspace is a high-performance cloud computing and ML development platform for building, training and deploying machine learning models. Tens of thousands of individuals, startups and enterprises use Paperspace to iterate faster and collaborate on intelligent, real-time prediction engines.

As applied ML / AI continues its rapid growth within industry and research, we believe it's important to foster a community where academics, students, and professionals can come together to experiment and learn from each other. Our meetup group aims to do just that with a novel program that allows members to learn from research and practice while providing a space to hack and solve problems with real code.

Intro to Coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript & React)

Online event

Paperspace stands with Black Lives and wants to contribute to the movement.

In response to the systemic disparities that have been resurfaced by the Black Lives Matter movement, we’re offering tutoring and foundational web development courses to boost diversity in the tech industry. The goal is to empower individuals learn to code or start a career in tech by building their own projects.

We are hosting a series of personalized workshops focused on learning how to code by building portfolio projects using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React. These workshops are hands on, so please feel free to bring any projects you need help with or any topics you're interested in covering.

Meetups will be held monthly via Zoom on Thursdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm EST.

Agenda:
- 15 mins intros & welcoming
- 1h 15 mins in a breakout room helping unblock you on any of your ongoing work/projects, or working on fun JS challenges
- 30 min of questions, talk about next steps, and goodbyes until next time

We encourage people from traditionally under-represented backgrounds to register, or contact [masked] to discuss other offerings. We’re very eager to host these workshops and look forward to working with you!

Hosts: Chris Cedeño, Robert Chen, Erika Samuels, Jordan Burke
