Craft a beautiful coastal heart of seashells at the beach! Or if you don’t craft, just come hang out & chat!

### WHEN & WHERE

Wed, Jan 21, 2026 - Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Englewood Beach (we’ll change beaches sometimes - stay tuned!)
Meeting spot: Enter parking lot circle, turn left, pass porta potties on right, park there. That’s where the split in the light blocking fence for the turtles is. We gather straight out from that split, down by the water.

### WHAT TO BRING

🪑 Beach chair or towel
☂️ Umbrella if you want shade
🧴 Sunscreen (Florida sun is no joke!)
💧 Water bottle
Optional: bring any special small shells, pearls, sea glass or doo-dads you want to feature in your art creation

### WHAT TO EXPECT

We’ll paint our 6x6" canvases first (go light with the paint so it dries fast in the sunshine!) then while the canvases are drying, we’ll beach comb for shells, driftwood, and other beach treasures for our art pieces.

You don't have to make a heart! Feel free to create.

### COST: $5 (for canvas)

Maureen provides: 6x6” canvas, paint, brushes, clear glue, glue guns, some starter shells and bits of beach glass for color
The vibe:

• Set up your chair in the sand with us
• Paint canvas (lightly) and place in sun to dry
• Walk the shoreline collecting shells while your canvas dries
• Return with your treasures, glue larger bits with battery glue gun, fill in with clear glue for smaller bits, glass, & sand
• Chat or just zone out watching the waves while your creation dries in the beatiful Florida sunshine
• Sometimes we go out to lunch afterwards

We meet cloud cover or shine (unless there's rain, lightning or severe weather).
Bit chilly? Bring a sweatshirt - sunshine still feels amazing!
