## Soulful - Propulsive - High Energy
Bring Your Dancing Shoes for Balkan Roma Grooves
Korvin Balkan Brass Orkestar, based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a dynamic brass ensemble that blends contemporary energy with deep reverence for the musical traditions of the Balkans — particularly the rich, expressive stylings of Roma (Gypsy) brass bands. Drawing from Macedonia, Serbia, Romania, and Turkey, their sound is both soulful and propulsive, weaving traditional ornamentation with bold improvisation and danceable grooves.
At the heart of the ensemble is a commitment to keeping the flame of Balkan Roma music alive — not through imitation, but through respectful adaptation rooted in community, musicianship, and joy. The group features multilingual vocalist Willa Roberts, trumpet stylists Char Rothschild and Bruce Lettelier, trombonist Bryant Lettelier, tubaist Alan Kapulski, and percussionists Nick Kunz and Max Kluger-Bell.
