Adelaide Hills X Group 'September' Meetup

Details
Greetings All :-)
It seems like we've basically claimed ownership of the new area :-) Amazing turnout again with us hitting 25 a second month in a row. I really think the new spot at the Bridgie is a bonus with it allowing members to walk around and mingle with each other to chat about all the topics our group covers. I've spoken to the night manager "Dennis" who assures me that from now on he'll keep the new area open for us in the future for our meetups. His only request is that as we're now such a large group, we need to place our orders early to ensure that all the meals arrive at the same time. So basically, I'd suggest that we get into the habit of ordering as soon as we arrive before diving into conversation with other X Groupers :-)
Don't forget the David Icke Excursion next month. This is really a momentous event for Adelaide which saves many members from trekking to Melbourne or Brisbane to see this amazing man in action. I can guarantee it'll be a mind blowing event, and, for those of you not familiar with David's work, we have sets of his DVDs in the group library for loan.
As far as meetups go, those who delay coming at start time as they choose not to join us for a meal. No need to pitch up late, still catch up with us from 7:00PM as the tables are booked anyway, and the not so hungry, or, eaten before I came, are still encouraged to chat with us if they don't mind the feeding frenzy from the rest of us when our dinner arrives : )
Also, for those who wish to offer lifts, please do, as some members unfamiliar with the hills find it difficult to find the place, or don't have transport, etc... It's also much safer traveling in groups, plus, picking up someone on the way and dropping them off makes the trip less tiring as you can chat on the way. You can let all members know of your movements before the time by using the group email address paranormal-521@meetup.com which will be received by all group members, after which you can contact them personally through their own private email address or their meetup profile's email address.
As far as new members go, please do your utmost to welcome them into the group and make them feel comfortable. It can be quite a scary and daunting move for a new member to come to a meetup, so smiles all around and including them in conversations makes them feel comfortable and welcome.
For new members...
Before coming to a meetup you may want to introduce yourself at http://paranormal.mee.... or feel free to browse our group forums at http://paranormal.mee.... as this will give you an idea of topics we cover and the interests of members. Forum members love having the input from new members and as one member wrote, browsing the forums is like Disney-Land with all the links and videos, which is true, you can quite easily spend a week watching and reading what's available there : )
Any DVDs or books that you wish to add to the library will be muchly appreciated by myself and other members, so bring them along... They'll always remain your property (so write your name inside) and you can reclaim them from the library at any time, it just gives your fellow members (who're on the same channel as you) a chance to share your interests, experiences and knowledge.
For new members to the group meetings coming from the city, here's some basic instructions on how to get there :
Head up the freeway past the toll gate, take the Bridgewater off-ramp (next one after the Stirling one). Turn right towards Bridgewater at the end of the off-ramp (over the freeway bridge), then over the railway line and right at the T-Junction and you'll find the Hotel/Inn 150 Meters on your Right. Parking is on both sides of the hotel. We'll normally all be downstairs in the cellar restaurant between the back of the bar and the kitchen, but just look out for a noisy, chatty, happy bunch with an ET DVD on one of the tables : )
Bring any ideas, questions, topics of interest or revelations to the meeting, and prepare for an evening of non-stop discussions on anything and everything weird and wonderful...
As always, should be good and I'm looking forward to it !
See you all there : )
