Parent Tech: Peanut, building a social app loved by users

Details

Join us for a breakfast Q&A with Michelle Kennedy, founder and CEO of Peanut - the app to make mum friends. Founded in 2017 by Kennedy and Greg Orlowski - co-founder of Deliveroo and its former CTO - Peanut now has a community of 500,000 women who have swiped profiles over 19 million times and sent more than one million messages to each other. Peanut is designed to bring together like-minded mums, and acts as a 'friendship app' which matches mums based on location, interests, and age of their children.

Michelle was earlier Deputy CEO at dating app Badoo, the $100M+ revenue-generating market leader. During her tenure at Badoo, Michelle was integral to the launch of Bumble, one of the world's most popular social and dating apps. After finding herself trawling blogs for baby advice at 2AM while her friends were out in clubs, Michelle decided to create Peanut to make motherhood a little less lonely. Having worked in the dating app industry for five years, Michelle has unprecedented experience and understanding of the safety and growth elements of building a social product. She is also mama to her 4 year old son, Finlay.

Join us to hear about how Michelle and her team are building a social app loved by mums.
