Welcome to the Birmingham Parents of High-Functioning Autism Teenagers meetup group! Just a mom with a high-functioning teenager that is struggling with making friends. I would love to find other families to socialize with that can trade ideas on how to help our teenagers to be more social, while giving them the opportunity to make friends with others. Dating is also a conversation being had . Most “support groups” and “services” aren’t available for ages 16-18 that are very independent but need social opportunities. If this sounds familiar, let’s start our own group!
