What we’re about
Golf can be a great way to enjoy a fun challenge: outdoors, in scenic locations. Do it alone, or with friends/family, or meeting new people along the way.
BUT – golf can also be tough to pick up. Heading to a course for the first time can be intimidating!
This group aims to connect golfers of ALL skill levels (never picked up a club, all the way up to life-long golfers). It may be for tee times (whether on full courses, or short/pitch-and-putt courses like Flushing Meadows and Riis Park). It may also be for lessons, indoor/simulator outings, driving range outings, watch events. We may have group events, but it can also be a place for individuals to connect with each other to get on the course.
Above all, we want a casual, welcoming approach. New golfers should be ready and willing to understand some basics about how to be considerate of the course and other golfers. All golfers should be ready to welcome golfers who are finding their way, may be a bit unsure about etiquette (but are willing to learn). All in all, it's about having fun.
