Let’s take the book club outside for a relaxed summer evening of books, wine, cheese and good conversation!
⏰ Please note: the event starts at the scheduled time!
Only RSVP if you’re able to arrive on time. We’ll be doing the book swap together, so being on time will help keep things fair for everyone. ❤️
*HOW THE BOOK SWAP WILL WORK (rules)*
The idea is to make it as fair and fun as possible, rather than having everyone rush for the books they want!
1. Bring 1–3 books you genuinely loved (fiction only)
You’ll get a chance to tell us a little about what you loved about it.
2. One book = one ticket 🎟️
For every book you bring, you’ll receive one numbered ticket.
3. Picnic & book chat 🍷🧀
We’ll have our picnic, enjoy some wine and snacks, and take some time to talk about the books everyone has brought.
4. The lucky draw 📚
Once every book has been presented and we’re ready to swap, I’ll draw the numbers blindly from a jar, one at a time. When your number is called, you’ll get to choose one book.
This way, everyone has an equal chance of getting first pick.
*WHAT TO BRING*
- 📖 1–3 fiction books you genuinely loved
- 🍷 A drink to share — wine, beer, soft drinks, juice, etc.
- 🧀 A couple of snacks to share — vegetarian only! Think cheese, olives, fruit, crisps, crackers, dips, etc.
- 🧺 A picnic blanket — we’ll be sitting on the grass!
