Après plusieurs années en France, la photographe Wan Ye revient dans sa ville natale de la région de Wenzhou. Elle y retrouve un territoire bouleversé par les démolitions, des liens anciens devenus incertains et une jeune femme qui rêve, à son tour, de partir.
