What we’re about
PIANO PASSION PARIS
Calling all Classical Piano Enthusiasts! Come join: we're professional and non-professional pianists as well as piano-loving listeners. We meet around every 1st Sunday of the month for a concert, performing,exchanging ideas, meeting each other and our public! Concerts take place in piano enthusiasts' apartments in Paris as well as smaller (or bigger) concert venues. Drinks and food afterwards! Come join what has been a wonderful get-together opportunity since 2010 already!
How it works:
STEP I:
Send an email to [pianopassionparis@gmail.com](mailto:pianopassionparis@gmail.com)
stating
- full name
- suggestion of one or more pieces
a) composer's name of every piece you propose
b) work titles including opus numbers
c) duration of every piece
Please note: your piece can be around 5 to 15 minutes long. It’s OK to play just one movements of a longer work, for example.
3. short bio (150 words)about you and the piano - phone number
- valid email address
STEP II:
1. as long as your email contains all the information as stated above, we will respond as soon as possible**,** usually within 48 hours.
Please note: we cannot respond to emails which do not contain all the required information. Why? Because organising concerts such as these is very time-consuming. It’s a labour of love in this case. Help us in the the process!
2. we'll chose 1 (or more) pieces from your proposal
3. we will invite you to participate in a pre-concert preparatory meeting 3-4 days prior to the actual concert
Please note : These pre-concert preparatory meetings are
a) form an integral part of the concert as they enables us to ensure everyone will have a truly positive concert experience, both performers as well as listeners. In case your piece in not quite ready, you'll probably come to realise it during the pre-concert preparatory meeting.
b) a chance for you to meet us organisers of PianoPassionParis, and for us to meet you!
c) free
We put together the final programm as a group.
STEP III:
You have played for us during the pre-concert preparatory meeting and your piece is ready: we’ll include you in the programme! You will perform either in a house concert or a public concert, depending on our venue-schedule, and either in the very next concert or at some later date, depending on the number of proposals we get (and we get many).
