Printemps Department Store: Secrets & Backstage guided tour in English

Hi everyone,

Let's meet for a backstage guided tour of Printemps Haussmann Departmetn Store and the history of shopping in France !

Paris is the city of shopping and 5 historic Grands Magasins: Galleries Lafayette, Printemps, Le Bon Marché , le BHV and La Samaritaine!

This guided tour in English withh take us from the basement of the department store to the rooftop terrace, with its breathtaking view of the capital through its famous Art Deco dome!
So much history, art and shopping behind these walls!

The plan is to meet at 10 am for a get to know the group coffee & croissant, then head for the tour that starts at 11am.
Afterwards we can go for a scenic lunch on the stunning rooftop!!!! Or shall we head to Galleries Lafayette rooftop to compare!!!? :)

About the tour...
In 1865, the young entrepreneur Jules Jaluzot and his wife, Augustine, established the "Printemps Department Store" (Printemps meaning “spring” in French), , with the ambition of creating a new temple of fashion and the avant-garde in a rapidly changing Paris. By choosing Boulevard Haussmann, which had just been opened, they undertook a real challenge: the Opéra Garnier was then just a vast construction site, and the hustle and bustle of the Gare Saint Lazare discouraged pedestrians!
