I invite you to further explore the beautiful Vallée de Chevreuse in the south of Paris area, on a loop starting and ending at the Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse RER station . This route offers a perfect mix of forest paths, riverside trails along the Yvette, and panoramic views of historic castles.
We’ll begin our hike in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, following the peaceful Yvette path towards the Château de la Madeleine , perched on the hill above the valley. From there, we’ll continue towards the charming village of Choisel , surrounded by fields and gentle countryside landscapes.
In the second part of our route, we’ll enter the Forêt de Méridon , a calm woodland area with winding trails and rich greenery. Before returning to Saint-Rémy, we’ll pass by the Ferme de Coubertin , where we can stop to buy fresh local dairy products. Our hike ends back at Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, where we’ll take the RER B back to Paris .
We’ll meet on Saturday, Nov 15, 11:00 AM in front of Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse RER train station , where our hike begins. To get there, take RER B from Paris (there is a train leaving Châtelet les Halles at 10:08 AM and arriving at 10:57 AM ); make sure you get this train, otherwise, you will arrive too late.
We’ll stop for lunch/snacks in the forest, so bring your own food and water.
The activity will be in English , ideal for expats and anglophones living in or visiting Paris.
