Synopsis

Rien ne ressemble plus à l’espace que les abysses sous-marins. Les étranges formes de vie qu’on y trouve défient l’imagination et l’on sait bien moins de choses sur la faune des grands fonds que n’importe où sur Terre. Au Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle de Londres, des biologistes intrépides étudient ces créatures inconnues et les écosystèmes qui prospèrent dans l’obscurité.
Pourtant, les jours où les abysses étaient la dernière frontière sont comptés. Alors que les scientifiques font progresser nos connaissances sur les grands fonds marins, de grandes entreprises s’apprêtent à venir y extraire des ressources minières précieuses. Pour les biologistes, la bataille contre les éléments devient un combat contre le temps.

Synopsis
Nothing resembles outer space more than the deep sea. The strange life forms found there defy imagination, and we know far less about the creatures of the deep ocean than about any other place on Earth. At the Natural History Museum in London, fearless biologists study these unknown organisms and the ecosystems that thrive in darkness.
Yet, the days when the abyss was the last frontier are numbered. As scientists advance our understanding of the deep sea, major corporations are preparing to extract valuable mineral resources from it. For the biologists, their battle against the elements has become a race against time.
