Emily in Paris through the lens of Edith de Belleville - Paris Tour Guide

This Storytelling Salon spotlights Emily in Paris the popular American comedy-drama streaming television series on Netflix. If you are like 58 million people in the world you probably watched Emily in Paris which is set and filmed in Paris. Starring Lily Collins as the eponymous Emily, an American who moves to France to provide an American point of view to Savoir, a French marketing firm. There, she struggles to succeed in the workplace while searching for love and experiencing a culture clash with her "boring" and mundane Midwestern U.S. upbringing.

Our Host is Edith de Belleville a native Parisian, licensed Tour Guide & Author who runs a tour of Emily in Paris. At this Storytelling Salon Edith will take us via ZOOM to admire the magnificent places where Emily lives, loves and cries. Edith will also weave in why Paris fascinated American women such as Edith Wharton, Gertrude Stein, Jacky Kennedy and Emily’s glamorous look-alike model, the iconic Audrey Hepburn.

Edith de Belleville is a native Parisian, a licensed Tour Guide, Author and Lecturer in Paris as a history teacher at Gustave Eiffel University (Marne-la-Vallée). She is an expert of women in French history. She wrote a book in French "Belles et Rebelles, á l'ombre des grandes Parisiennes" ( Éditions du 81), about Inspirational Parisian women from the past and a book in English, "Parisian Life, Adventures in the City of Light" that will soon be available.
