Calling Toronto parks and nature lovers!

There’s a phrase often used to describe Toronto, either what it is or what it could be:

“A City Within a Park”

As if Toronto is really a giant green space, with a bunch of city constructions covering up most of it, but underneath it all still a parkland at heart.

It’s a stretch, but I like this vision. I want to celebrate and make the most of this Park City.

Starting with cleaning up some of Toronto’s beaches, parks, trails, and green spaces.

These meetups will be about exploring these parks, clearing out some litter, and finding ways to bring the “City Within a Park” a bit more to life.

Total Shoreline Cleanup: we'll clean the backbone of the city, the Lake Ontario waterfront, all the way from Mississauga to Pickering. Most Sundays (except for certain holidays or when bad weather hits) we’ll pick up where we left off the previous week and carry on along the shoreline.

Exploration & Imagination: we'll explore the parks, trails, and backstreets of Toronto, find unique hidden places and surprises, invent new myths & stories & lore, make maps, hunt treasure, blur the lines between mundane and magical, and "make Toronto feel like Narnia" (or your own favourite imaginary land).
