Toronto Total Shoreline Cleanup #7

Details

We are cleaning the entire Toronto shoreline, from Mississauga to Pickering. Weather permitting, we will continue from where we left off the previous week.

We'll meet on the west side of Colonel Samuel Smith Park, near the triangle of trails just to the southeast of the R.L. Clark Water Treatment Plant.

Colonel Samuel Smith Park can be reached by:

  • 44 Kipling South or 944 Kipling South Express bus from Kipling subway station
  • 110C Islington South from Islington subway station (110C only, not A or B)
  • A parking lot inside the park itself

If you're running late, start walking east along the shore (out to the little peninsula to the west of the yacht club) and look for the trash grabbers!

If you're running late, start walking along the shore and look for the trash grabbers!

I will have four trash grabbers available, along with bags and gloves.

Picking up trash is optional. All Toronto parks and nature appreciators are welcome to join us for the walk!

See the “Safety Tips” section of this City of Toronto website.
