Details

Meet at the Cafe for a cuppa then be ready to begin walk by 9:30.a.m.
A great adventure into the past exploring the original rail pass up the mountains.
Some of the sights we will come across include historic sandstone bridges and viaducts, disused train tunnels, railway platforms.(no opal card required) and of course the zig-zag railway track cut through towering sandstone cliff faces.

Throw in some spectacular lookouts, a quarry and even a lovers walk.
There are always the obligatory stairs to keep your muscles toned up, not too hard but a workout just the same.

Not really a walk for beginners as there is a very long descent on rugged steps and some ladders that seem to go on indefinitely making the legs a bit wobbly not to mention my dicky knee. As always we have a climb to compliment the descent but well worth the effort because it is truly a spectacular journey.

Allow three, maybe even four hours to rummage through the interesting relics from a bygone era. Seven kilometres thereabouts (maybe more) who's counting, just enjoy the moment with good company.

Speaking of good company, give me a call at 0451483009 if you have any questions about the walk or me.

What to bring? Water, snacks, sunblock and some money for lunch at the Lapstone Hotel after the walk.

GRATUITY: Bring some extra money if you missed my beginning of year sale. A $5 donation would come in handy to help pay the Meetup bills and my mortgage.
