POOL OF SILOAM
Details
If any newcomers or first timers want to get a taste of the mountains and some beautiful waterfalls at a leisurely pace than here's your chance while I'm in a relaxed mood and no hurry to go anywhere, except for lunch at the Alexandria Hotel after the walk.
We start our journey with a stroll to Gordon Falls to admire a spectacular waterfall from the lookout before resting at the breathtaking Pool of Siloam at the base of a waterfall. Walk through fern laden areas of rainforests then descend upon Lyrebird Dell, a picnic ground located under an interesting overhanging rock formation.
A quick stop to admire yet another waterfall (time to cool down ) then a short and easy ascent brings us to a fire trail with parks and playgrounds (frisbee time) as we make our way back to Gordon Falls Reserve then Leura for lunch.
A fairly easy walk suitable for anybody (at least the bodies I've walked with before). About two and a half hours should do it, maybe three if you want to chill out and relax a bit. I'll relax.
Parking available in the carpark behind Woolworths located first left into Megalong Street just past the shops.
It really is a fantastic day out with the scenic lookouts around Gordon Falls, photo opportunities and a swim at Pools of Siloam behind a waterfall, picnic under a giant cave at Lyrebird Dell with another waterfall to refresh yourself and of course lunch at the Alexandra Hotel after.🍺
P.S. This will be a relaxing day out with a few short climbs and some easy descents, so if you're in a hurry and don't like hanging around waiting for the slower walkers then I suggest you find a less sociable event.
Any confusion ring me on 0451483009 and confuse me as well.
Included some photos from a previous visit to give you a sneak peek of the walk.
