UNDERCLIFF, OVERCLIFF. DARWIN WALK
Details
Here's a great opportunity for new members and others that want to enjoy a beautiful day in the mountains with a bit of a challenge but not to hard, just a great adventure with friends. Occasional climbs, nothing too serious, just like me.
We begin our adventures with a walk from the Conservation Hut.
Put the brakes on for the long descent down to Queen Victoria Lookout to check the dicky knees. Everything in order?. The Overcliff Track is spectacular with views as far as the eye can see. Should have went to Specsavers.
We link up with the Undercliff Track somewhere along the way as we traverse below the cliff face with more of those Specsaver views. If you're really good I'll take you to a place that I haven't taken anyone else before.(well, not many anyway)
Cascades, waterfalls and a truely remarkable descent that will take your breath away, not from the effort but from the unbelievable beauty that you behold. Unforgettable just like me.
An easy stroll brings us to Wentworth Falls. Time to explore, take a short detour then check out Weeping Rock, a spectacular sight and photo opportunity. Selfies if you're that way inclined.
A pleasant stroll along the Charles Darwin Walk brings us back to Wentworth Falls and a well earned beer at the Grand View Hotel.
About three and a half, maybe four hours of exploring and taking in this beautiful environment that should be around 10 klms all up depending on who's counting.
P.S. I'll add a few photos from a previous visit when I get around to it.
If you have something nice to say buzz me on 0451483009 and I'll be all ears.
If you have $5 I'll have something nice to say. Money helps with Meetup fees and my alcohol bill.
