Make Your Own Parrot Rhinestone Tee!

For those of you not in the "know" I'm the one who designs and makes all of the funny parrot rhinestone tees that many of the MARS volunteers wear. I'm hosting a Make-Your-Own night at my house so ya'll can have funny bird shirts too!

Each of you will be creating your own custom rhinestone tee to take home with you at the end of the evening. Make one for yourself or as a gift... Don't worry if you are all thumbs when it comes to arts and crafts. I promise your shirt will come out perfect!

All you have to do is select your design from one of my templates (I have over 300 to choose from...about 50 bird designs as well as wine, holiday, kids, etc...). You'll add your stones to the template and then I will heat press it on to your garment. You can even customize some of the designs with your birds name. DESIGNS: The best place to view my available designs is on the Blingy Birds Facebook page. I do not always have every template cut and ready for use. Therefore PLEASE take a look at the designs BEFORE the party. If you find a design you like, please let me know so that I can make sure to have it cut for you. I will not be able to cut any at the party. If you have something in mind but do not see it, let me know and I'll try to make it for you.

TEES/APPAREL: You can bring your own tee or other fabric item or buy a blank item from me. I have at least 1000 blank apparel items in stock in ladies sizes XS to XXL to select from including v-neck short & long sleeve plus tanks in assorted colors. I also carry Juniors tees and girls tees. Prices for the blank items range from $3 to $12 depending on the style. Most ladies tops are priced between $6 to $10.

If you choose to bring your own please make sure it can be pressed at 400 degrees. Most cotton and poly items can. Some rayon. modal and spandex items may melt. You will also want to make sure it has a fairly flat pile surface. Ribbed items are ok and will work with most designs as long as they stretch. If you are unsure, just ask.

COST: The overall cost of your project will depend on the stone count of your design as well as the color and quality of the stones you select. I have a huge selection of stones in different qualities and colors. I will assist you in your selections. Simple low stone count designs with lesser expensive stones start at just $5. The average cost of a project including a blank tee was about $12 to $15 at my last event....approximately half of what you would pay to purchase it ready made. Please bring cash or check. WHAT TO BRING: Please bring or wear SOCKS!!! You will be removing your shoes at the door. My floor in the work area will be covered with flannel backed tarps which will tear and stones are easily crushed and ground into my wood floor with the weight of shoes on them! Flip flops are ok as long as they are soft foam and not heavy rubber. I'll have extras for you to wear if you forget. Barefoot can be uncomfortable ...stepping on a solid crystal stone can pinch a bare foot! If you require "readers" or glasses you may want to wear them. I have all of the tools and supplies necessary for the project, however if you have a favorite pair of tweezers, bring them. I have several extras but some work better than others.

I live at the corner of A1A and Sunrise in the peach townhouses with rust colored garage doors. My house is about halfway down the row...I have red lava rock, lots of flowers and a redwood bench out front...and a blue stripe umbrella in the courtyard. Please park in a un-numbered spot or use the overflow parking, one block south at the auto detail shop. Park on the north side of the building and cross the mulch running track into our driveway
