What we’re about

Kizomba is a partner dance & music genre from Angola, West Africa. Emerging around the late 1970s, it evolved from Angola’s traditional dance, Semba. Kizomba means "party" in Kimbundu language. It is a fun & energetic dance that connects family and friends at social gatherings. It’s lively music blends African rhythms and modern influences to celebrate togetherness and joy.

Join us as we take you through 8 weeks of learning how to connect with your dance partner and enjoy the rhythms of this genre. Our classes are designed to accommodate beginners with no prior dance experience. No partner is needed when you sign up! Register solo or with a friend, and we’ll rotate partners during the class to ensure everyone gets to dance.
