DON’T BE PERFECT. BE UNDERSTOOD.

This is a relaxed French conversation class for adults who want to become more comfortable actually speaking French.

The philosophy is simple:

Don’t stop because you don’t know the perfect word. Find another way to say it. Keep talking. Communicate.

This is not a traditional grammar class. You don’t need to construct the perfect sentence before you speak.

Use the French you already have. Make mistakes. Describe the word you don’t know. Use another expression. Ask questions. Gesture if you need to. Find your way around the problem and get your point across.

If you forget the French word for “umbrella,” for example, don’t switch to English. Try:

“The thing you use when it rains…”

That’s communication — and that’s what we practice.

Mistakes are expected. Speaking is the goal.

We use conversation, games, real-life situations, vocabulary and everyday French expressions to help you become more spontaneous and confident.
