Learn how to set up an animation scene, place and animate objects and text then render out to importable files for stills, animations, titling and CGI based visual effects.
No prior animation or CGI experience is necessary. Beginning and intermediate level topics will be covered. The popular open source 3D animation and VFX software Blender will be used. The concepts are easily applicable to other popular industry software. At the end of the class, you will have usable stills, animations and demo files to play with.
You can download the software and find helpful links ahead of time at http://www.socalblender.org and there are also some good getting started tutorials on Youtube. No prior experience with blender is needed
