TOPIC ~ Evolution of the Bahá’í Community over the past century, spanning the period from the Guardianship of Shoghi Effendi until the current time.

Guest Speaker ~ William Maxwell, Ph.D.
Dr. Maxwell became a Bahá’í in 1952. He served as the first Baha’i pioneer to Korea starting in 1955 during Shoghi Effendi’s Ten Year Crusade. With a unique distinction of serving on four National Spiritual Assemblies, he was the first chairman of the NSA of Northeast Asia in 1957 and was twice elected to the NSA of the United States. In 1968, he was among the first appointees to the Continental Board of Counselors.

Academically, Dr. Maxwell earned his doctorate at Harvard University and has written or edited seventeen books, including his most popular work, Super Parenting: Child Rearing for the New Millennium. He currently resides at the Desert Rose Baha’i Institute in Eloy, Arizona.

Dr. Maxwell deeply enjoys sharing insights about Shoghi Effendi, the Hands of the Cause of God, and the many great victories and unfoldments within the Cause of God. His passion for these subjects, along with many others, is sure to provide a profound source of inspiration for all in attendance.
