What we’re about
I created a Facebook account and group. Maybe it will be easier to communicate there until I figure out if I want to pay for membership here.

*It will be a while before I schedule a meetup as I don't know a good host location and don't have the shareable materials yet, but if you are remotely interested let me know and I'll put more effort into getting the ball rolling.*
**Update 2-11-25: I now have 12 drawing pads at 9"x12", 12 sets of drawing pencils and 12 erasers to share. Still working on a venue.**
This is an idea that is more about creativity and having fun than developing artistic skill, but it could go both ways. Way back when I was in art school we did an activity where everyone would start drawing something and you'd draw for a set amount of time like 10 minutes, then pass the sketchbook to the person behind you. Then you spend the next 10 minutes drawing on the pad you were just handed. You'd continue this until your pad made it all way back to yourself and then you'd have an unusual and unexpected finished piece.
I think this would be good to do somewhere with drinks, and maybe food, but it is hard to draw and eat (and not get food on someone else's pad).
To start I will bring 5 sketchbooks, 5 pencils and 5 erasers for everyone to use. Feel free to bring your own if you prefer to use that, but lets keep it small-ish, like 11x14 or smaller. Using a huge pad would really make this whole process take much longer.
