Join us for phius 101, a foundational introduction to the principles and key components of phius certified high performance building and design. This session will be led by Tom Bassett-Dilley, a founder of phius alliance Chicago, and distinguished board member. Tom is a renowned expert in the field of energy-efficient building practices with years of experience advancing the Passive House standard.
Whether you're new to Passive House concepts, or looking to deepen your knowledge, this session will provide valuable takeaways and practical guidance.

Meet your presenter:
Tom Bassett-Dilley, FAIA CPHC founded TBDA in 2006 to pursue sustainability in architecture. Toward that end, he became a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC©) in 2010 to learn advanced energy modeling, building science, and principles of conservation. Tom has led the design of all the firm’s work, including dozens of Phius, LEED, Greenstar, and DOE certified projects in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky.
He is a founding member and past President of the Chicago Passive House Alliance chapter, a founding member of Oak Park’s Climate Action Network, and served for six years on Oak Park’s Historic Preservation Commission. Since 2011 Tom has regularly presented locally and nationally on topics relating to energy efficiency, health, and building science in new and old buildings alike. TBDA is an Architecture 2030 Signatory, proudly meeting portfolio-wide reduction targets since 2018.
