First Summer Day Hike: Little Gunpowder Trail

Explore this 5.1-mile out-and-back trail near Kingsville, Maryland. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1 h 35 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and horseback riding, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
This stretch of the Little Gunpowder Trail runs between Harford Road and Bottom Road. The trail is mostly flat as it winds along the banks of the river.
