PATC Galentine Hike

Join us for our February monthly women’s hike, featuring our special Galentine Hike as we venture through the beautiful trails of Harper's Ferry! Wear Pink and/or Red!

Hike: We will start our hike exploring Virginius Island and Hall's Island Trail. We then will head to the AT and hike north and head up to Camp Hill, where we will have the opportunity to explore ATC Visitor Center, Storer College, Lockwood House and Harper Cemetery with plenty of mountain and river views. After exploring Camp Hill, we will hike back to the AT and visit Jefferson Rock before we head into Lower Town.

We will stop for lunch at one of the restaurants in town and explore the many shops in town. After lunch and exploring the shops, we will head back on trail towards the bus shelter, where we will depart and head back to the Visitor Center.

Location: Harper's Ferry National Historic Park

Meeting location: Please meet at 8:45am at the Visitor Center parking lot (near buses) Hikers will need to sign waiver. We will depart the Visitor Center at 9am

Parking: Park at the Harpers Ferry NHP Visitor Center and the starting point for the shuttle bus service to Lower Town. Access at 171 Shoreline Drive, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425

Please bring the following items
Cold Weather Gear (hat/gloves), Water, Snacks, Backpack and hiking poles. After the hike we will head to local restaurant and re-hydrate

After Hike Re-hydration: Rabbitt Hole

Facilities: Restrooms are available at the visitor center

Park Admission: Unless you have an annual park pass, you will need to pay the $20.00 fee that covers entrance to the park for 3 consecutive days.
