Rock Creek Park - Meadowbrook Park/Boundary Bridge, Moderate 5 Miles

This will be a moderate ~5 mile loop in Rock Creek Park. We will start at Meadowbrook Local Park in Chevy Chase, MD and proceed to the Boundary Bridge and into DC on the Valley Trail, cross Beach Dr to the Pinehurst Branch Trail, and loop back to our starting point on the Western Ridge Trail. It’s a beautiful walk with some ups and downs and a few stream crossings.
Meeting Point:
Meadowbrook Local park can be reached via Meadowbrook Lane and has space for about 30 cars. There are usually a variety of kids sports happening in the park so arrive early to find parking. There is another small lot accessible via Beach Dr. that fits about 6 cars. Cross the bridge to reach the park. Meet at the basketball courts, which are behind the stone pavilion and next to the tennis courts.
Meeting Time:
Plan to arrive at 9:15am so you will be able to meet everyone and sign the PATC waiver. Once the waiver is signed, we will begin the hike, targeting a 9:30am departure. We will leave on time.
