An easy 4.2 mile weekday walk in Mason Neck State Park to see what's living in the creeks and wetlands. Trail is easy and mostly flat, a few small hills and lots of tree roots to walk over. We'll start at the picnic parking area, take the Eagle Spur trail to the observation deck and back, then do the Wilson Spring/Bayview/High Point loop back to the starting point. Great views of Occoquan Bay, swamps and woods.

We might see birds, salamanders, turtles and dragonflies. Binoculars are a good idea.

Meet at 10:30 am at the parking lot of the Mason Neck State Park Picnic Area, Lorton, Va. Restrooms are available at the parking lot only. Leisurely pace about 2-2.25 mph.
