Buzzard Rock GWNF 3.8 Mi 750 Ft Moderate Hike
Details
Buzzard Rock North is a moderate hike with spectacular vistas, just outside of Front Royal, VA. Buzzard Rock is the high point of the cliffs that are visible from Fort Valley. The main rock area has commanding views to the south through Fort Valley, as well as the overlook of the Fish Hatchery to the north.
On this ~4 mile hike elevation gain is about 750 ft with very ROCKY terrain towards the top. We typically hike about 2 mph when moving, with an emphasis of moving at a pace comfortable to all, but we may be slower through rocky sections or a tad quicker on smooth level terrain.
