We will be offering four sawyer sessions at CentennialFest.
Sawyer Techniques 12:30-3:30 Friday October 2nd
Sawyer Techniques (2nd session) and concurrent Cross Cut Saw Experience 9-12 Saturday October 3rd
Chainsaw Maintenance 12:30-1:30 Saturday October 3rd

Sawyer Techniques
DESCRIPTION
Sharing advanced sawing techniques led by the instructor/evaluator sawyer. For example, how to cut top bind blowdowns without using wedges. We all have techniques to share, or you can come and try some advanced techniques with your own saw. Bring your saw, PPE, and Sawyer card, if you want to try some of the techniques. If you just want to watch and ask questions, bring your hard hat, ear protection, and safety glasses.Let us know if you need PPE. We may have limited PPE. Bring your saws fueled. We will have extra fuel and bar oil if needed.

REQUIREMENTS
Class limit: 6 each session.

Chainsaw Maintenance
DESCRIPTION
Want to brush up on chainsaw maintenance and chain sharpening? Join PATC C-sawyer/instructor for some hands-on practice. We will have a workspace set up with tools. Bring a saw, electric or gas, gloves, safety glasses.

REQUIREMENTS
Class limit: 8.

Crosscut Saw Experience
DESCRIPTION
No experience needed. This will be a crosscut sawyer work trip: a first-time experience for some, and a chance to hone existing skills for others. Long trousers and leather boots are required. Bring your own gloves, helmets and eye protection. Based on the signup, we may be able to provide tools and some extra helmets and eye protection. The organizer has experience leading crosscut crews and training sawyers.
