Invasive Plant removal - AT in Duke Hollow
Details
Spend a fun day protecting the natural resources surrounding the AT. We will be tackling a large infestation of the non- native invasive vine, Oriental bittersweet and other woody invasives along the AT in beautiful Duke Hollow, just south of the AT Rollarcoaster. No experience necessary, we'll train.
It will be about a 3/4 mile walk to the work site. We will be cutting/sawing stems and (only if you are willing) daubing a little herbicide on cut stems (under the supervision of a Commercial Pesticide Applicator).
Bring water, lunch/snack, work gloves, long pants, long sleeve shirt and sturdy appropriate footwear.
If you have any questions, please contact Rob Lamar at Natural_Resource@patc.net. There is a attendee limit, please if you sign up and later find out that you can not attend, make sure to update your status.
